About the Institute
The Geological Institute belongs to the Department of Earth Sciences at ETH Zurich.
The goal of the Geological Institute is to deliver leading research and teaching over a wide range of geological disciplines. Activities range from theoretical modelling towards experimental and observational Geology, from studying small-scale processes in the shallow subsurface towards large-scale processes forming the Earth and other planets.
